Serbian sweet quince is an old recipe. In Serbia, the custom is when a guest comes serve them with sweet, water and then coffee.
Quince washed to remove fine “hairs” from them pour with about two liters of water and let it boil water and cook for about 5 minutes. Remove them and still hot peel them and cut into cubes (add lemon slices).
In another saucepan add sugar and pour 400 ml of water, honey and cubes of quince then cook over high heat. It is finish when cooked mixture obtained density. Stir all the time. Add sliced lemon. During cooking you will have white on the surface, collect the spoon and remove it. Left overnight to cool.
Tomorrow chilled sweet quince pour into sterilized jars.
