Stuffed onion

Stuffed onion is a traditional dish the continental part of the Balkans. This is a very tasty dish serve with a glass of wine.

Onions cleaned and put into boiling water to cook for 5-6 minutes.

Stir minced meat with spices, rice and oil.

When the onion has cooled, slowly begin to separate layers trying not to fall apart. You need a calm and gentle hands and patience.

Charge the onions with the meat and put it in a pan, pour the oil and put the pan on the hob. When you hear that began oven (1-2 minutes) pour the water until it is completely covered. Cover with a lid and leave to simmer at the highest temperature, until there is no water. When water disappears, re-add water, let it boil again, reduce the heat to medium and cover.

Approximately half an hour to cook. If rice fully cooked then you are done.
