Peasant eggs is an old recipe. In mountainous regions of Balkan this dish is popular especially for the holidays, but with the amendment, they are placed in the intestine and then baked. Try this cold appetizer it is very tasty.
To make peasant eggs you must first whisk the eggs, then add pepper, chopped onion and ham. Bacon and one day old bread slice into cubes and stir them into the mixture with the eggs.
Baking dish (diameter 18 cm) coated with butter, sprinkle with bread crumbs and pour with prepared mixture of eggs. Baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, put into a larger pan with hot water and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 50 minutes.
Shake out from the mold, cool and cut into slices.
Peasant eggs serve as a cold appetizer.
