Kvarner risotto

Kvarner risotto is a traditional Mediterranean dish. Kvarner is part of the Croatian islands in the Adriatic Sea. This dish is a combination of sea and earth, rich of taste.

Tuna steak cut into small pieces (or squeeze the tuna from the can).

Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into cubes. Slice the onion, peppers, zucchini and tomatoes.

Cook rice with grated potatoes. Cook for about 15 minutes.

On olive oil lightly fry the onion, add the zucchini, peppers and tomatoes. When the vegetables release water add the pieces of tuna and pour the wine. Let it simmer for a few minutes.

In cooking bowl, mix almost cooked rice and tuna with vegetables, season with salt and pepper if needed, and sprinkle with fresh finely chopped garlic, parsley and basil. If necessary, add a little hot water, and let it all cook together for 2-3 minutes.

Before you serve the dishes add a little grated sheep cheese.
