Domestic ratluk is a Turkish delicacy. This delicacy is present throughout the Balkans. It is served usually with coffee and glass of water.
In the pot boil 750 g of sugar in 350 ml water. Stir cornstarch in 150 ml of water and slowly added to the pot, stir all the time to avoid creating lumps.
The fire reduced to a minimum and boil 1.5 – 2 hours until the mixture becomes so thick that hardly belongs with spoons.
Add to mixture juice of lemon and a couple of tablespoons fruit syrup, cook for 10 minutes.
In the mold diameter 20x20cm put cheesecloth and sprinkle the cornstarch then pour the hot mixture. Leave the mixture to cool. (3-4 hour)
Ratkul put on the table and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Leave to dry in air for one day.
Domestic ratluk serve cold.
