Chicken gyros is a traditional Greek dish.
This is a recipe for chicken gyros, but can make with pork. The procedure is the same, only instead of chicken meat take pork.
Chicken gyros meat
Chop chicken breast into small pieces. Mix oil and spices, add the chicken, all stir well and let it rest. Drain excess oil and fry the meat.
In 400 ml of water to put yeast and sugar spoon, kneaded with 600 g of flour and a teaspoon of salt and leave to rise for 30 minutes. Knead the dough into 6 pieces and leave it “rest” for 15 min. Each piece of dough roll out with rolling pin. Fry one by one in oiled pan. If you bake them for too long they will become dry.
Tzatziki salad for chicken gyros
Peel the cucumber and grate them, put a little salt and drain well from the cucumber juice. Add finely chopped garlic and cream, all mix well.
Fry French fries.
Coated tortilla wih tzatziki salad then place the meat in the middle, over the meat put slices of tomato, onion rings and fries.
The lower part of gyros roll and pack in aluminium foil.
Serve chicken gyros hot.
When you buy a gyros in town they baked meat on vertical barbecue.
