Prepare this traditional Zagreb dish, and treat yourself and your family.
“Strukli” originates from the Zagorije (region of Croatia) is a traditional Balkan dish. This traditional Zagreb dish can be prepared as a salty and sweet, you can cook and bake, served as a soup, appetizer, dessert or main dish.
Sieve the flour on a work surface. Prepare a little lukewarm water. In the flour make a hole, add salt, egg and oil, stir in flour with a knife. With adding of water with vinegar knead the dough, and then with your hands knead until completely smooth.
The dough divide it into three parts, each brush with oil, cover with heated bowl and let stand for about half an hour.
Prepare the filling: soften the butter with crushed cheese, beaten egg and a little salt. Finally mix sour cream.
Roll out the dough a little roller, and then the hands stretched to become thin. Thickened edge of the cut dough and let the dough stretched a little dry.
Spray the dough with melted butter. With 1/3 of filling brush stretched dough and fold it using tablecloths. Use spoon handle to push strukli at intervals of 10 cm then cut them with a plate, as in the picture.*
In boiling salted water put Strukle side by side, and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Remove Strukli from water and place them on a plate. Briefly fry in butter bread crumbs and pour them over the strukli.

For the dough:
500 g wheat flour
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon mild vinegar
a little lukewarm water
For the filling:
100-150 g of butter
600 g cottage cheese
100 g sour cream
For the topping:
80 g butter
50 g breadcrumbs
*If you want, you can freeze this traditional Zagreb dish and you can use them later. Freeze for about 2 hours, then arrange them in bags and return to the freezer. Thawing: Frozen strukle cook in boiling, lightly salted water for 15-20 minutes. Do not cook a larger amount at once.

Make the dough as well as for salty Strukli.
Fresh cheese mix well with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and one to two tablespoons of lemon juice.
Strukle put to cook in boiling water. Do not put too many in a pot. They’re done when they float to the surface.
Briefly fry in butter bread crumbs and pour them over the Strukli.
